Re: Help with planning France trip

Whoa... £350 on the motorail. That is pretty steep. I only knew about it because we met this chap who was riding his mint 916 back from st. Tropez. he did a similar trip every year. Having said that. Calais to Nice is about 800 miles. That has to be 150 in juice if you take it easy. Only reckon on 2...

Re: Help with planning France trip

Or you could ruse to Paris. Hop on a motorail to nice. Then you can do short hops along the south coast, up into the alps and take time to ride back. You could be in nice on day 2 but without being knackered and the spend 8 days touring with the majority in the better places. So far with wife on the...

Re: In memory of Benny.

I cannot believe this! I'm away from here for a few months and one of the storm corner stones is gone! I don't know what to say . I'm sure it's all been said but personally I feel I've lost a family member. BH has in one way or another helped to put right almost every f@ck up I have managed to achie...

Re: I've Gone Deaf

Cyberman hope you're feeling better. If not would really recommend going to the docs. I am losing the hearing in my left ear and have constant ringing. It is sh1t. My hearing has been deteriorating for a few years and the doc reckons goes back to an accident I had as a kid. However, the constant rin...

Re: Bar height

Just a heads up on the Gilles Vario bars. The riser isn't compatible with the firestorm. I have a 60mm riser (80 I think is the max) firstly the additional height means new brake, clutch and throttle lines. if you install with the curve of the riser tawards the tank thenyoh will have a reduced lock ...

Re: Nuts and Bolts

Interesting that we have someone who doesn't like the bling. I thought Ti was stronger than stainless so would have used on discs and calipers.... Not now though. I learn something new everyday! but the nut and bolt upgrade is for the anti corrosion aspect rather than weight saving. If I was that ke...

Nuts and Bolts

I know it's been asked before but where is the best place to purchase stainless and Ti replacement nuts and bolts....
I also need some new exhaust studs and figure stainless are probably the best... Please let me know if this isn't correct.
Cheers

Re: Clip ons help

They are pricey. I managed a good deal from Calsport but then I was trying to raise the bars as well.

The second set look the business. They do look a little lower than stand standard but then you could compensate by angling them back a little more.

Re: Harley Davidson

Well....... Had the 883 sportster for 3 weeks. It was pants. custard suspension with blamange brakes. So I swapped this ith my buddy who loved his Harleys. Only on a temp basis but it meant I had a 1200 sportster to test. I found this one worse. Basically if you have the nuts (knowing you can't stop...
