Re: Seat cowl
If your seat has the grab handle it can be caught under the edge of the cowl. if its been on for a long time you might need to poke something under the front edge of the cowl to free it.

Re: Fitting CCT's shortcut?
I am at 11,650 miles(usa) and using the stock tensioners. Im planning on sending my bike to the shop for the recommended first service at 16k. When should i start to be worried about the CCT's? Was planning on having manuals fitted at the service time since the head covers will come off to check va...

Re: Brake disc mounting bolts
Its a bolt. I reckon 3 would be strong enough to stop you on one disc. I think the heads could snap off several with no issues. the disc is mounted on a boss on the wheel and there is no lateral force involved on the disc, pure shearing force on the bolt, no twisting or bending on it.

Re: Mudguard bolts
I looked through parts for the storm on DS site and they weren't there. Don't know why. I just followed the link and there they are, so I have bought some from DS site. Also got the brake ones from the ebay link.

Re: Mudguard bolts
Thanks for the info guys. Much appreciated!
I have actually cleaned them up with a wire brush in a grinder before, and they came up beautiful, but then they went rusty even faster than before as they are mild steel.
Some good prices there!

Mudguard bolts
Hi guys.
Does anyone have a nice set of front mudguard fixing bolts? Can't find them on david silvers. Mine are all rusty.
Also want a set of disc bolts too for the same reason. Don't really want to pay DS price for the disc bolts.
Or part numbers I can source them from somewhere?
Thanks

Fitted a complete set of Wezmoto hoses. Well impressed with the quality and price, difference in braking from standard hoses is night and day! http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x103/mattycoops43/Bikes/hose1.jpg http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x103/mattycoops43/Bikes/hose2.jpg http://i186.photobu...

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
Question for you lot about bar end mirrors, Ive got Renthals on the way. Do Bar end mirrors fit in them ok? Took mine for a nice hour long flite today. Im glad the local boys in blue were off eating doughnuts. Changed suspension settings for the riser bars as being more upright left me to soft at t...

Got to lose the mirrors, they are far too long. I think a nice set of bar end ones would work well.

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
Hi guys. This is done with my manky old fairing that's been in the shed for a long time and wasn't much good when it went in, because it is cut in a fairly substantial way I wanted to try it out before I do anything with my nice set of fairings. It is a CBR6 riser conversion I had knocking around an...

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
Rode my mates Fireblade yesterday which has a handlebar conversion, comfiest sports bike I ever rode, so I fitted a set of speed triple bars today, did you know a cbr600 has the same geometry on the yokes and the bar conversion we had lying around fitted straight on. Managed to use all the original ...

Well I would like to say how much I appreciate this forum. I joined when I bought my storm that was in dire need of lots of things. I had LOADS of help from various members with parts and information and now I have a lovely storm which I genuinely think is the best bike I have ever owned. I don't po...
