LED Indicator resistors

Post by strachg »

Does anyone know what the resistor rating is to get your led indis to flash correct. Going to try and get them through my work.

im not sure but personally from experience would spend £20 and buy a motrax plug in and play relay . Used one myself and is so so easy!

Other than that Hein Gericke do some nice little resistors on ali heatsinks- were about £3 each, probably gone up a nadge now.

EDITNo, still at £2.99 each!

Or for a cheap option, wire up a normal filament indicator bulb in parallel and leave it sitting under the seat- one each side.

It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

That’s what I did on my VTR Tony

Just popped each bulb into a plastic film tub (back when camera's used films... :)) and taped them up so they didn't inadvertently stick to anything under the seat or get cracked. Left plenty of spare wire on and pushed them out of harms way.

Sorted

Like Bigrich, I didn't bother messing about either and just fitted a Motrax flasher relay for LED's like this one:-

I see there are cheaper flasher relays available, but don't know how good they are:-
