Re: Urm, greetings.

Don't know anyone who knows much about them, I'll probably go with my dad as he has a greater wider knowledge of bikes and he can test ride it for me. All up to me to learn then :P

Re: Urm, greetings.

This is true, it also depends if I get it from a dealer or private seller. I'll be more likely to purchase an older/well travelled bike from them than a random stranger who assures me it's in good condition. And yeah, I'm doing that now.. It's better than writing essays for A Levels, that much I can...

Re: Urm, greetings.

Yeah, I'm being rather optimistic and looking at 10-20k miles, that way a lot of the problems should have been solved.. Else I'm screwed and they'll break taking it home D: Colour isn't a huge concern, I'd like one that looks really nice.. Like yellow :P Although since I'll stick aftermarket fairing...

Re: Interesting site.

I thought it was found in the back garden of an old lady or something? Or was that the Rugby adviser or whatever being as incorre...

Re: Urm, greetings.

Haha, depends if I can fit any of decent quality within my budget :P Can't find many black ones, let alone fairly cheaply :( check the sales section and put a wanted post up  I've checked but the majority of the for sale ones just stopped being commented on ages ago and there isn't informa...

Just received an e-mail.. The seller sold the bike despite my deposit and them saying they'd keep it.. Should be getting the £50 back so it's all good.. :/ Bugger.

Re: Urm, greetings.

Oh okay, thanks. I'll have to ask if it's been done when I go to collect it then incase, s'always nice to save time and effort. Also, don't chinese fairings melt or something because they don't have the same protective covering from the heat? I found some really nice American ones but they say RVT r...

Re: Urm, greetings.

Somewhat force...

Re: Urm, greetings.

The VTR is a reasonably good all round bike but there is no way you will get 10mpg I think I phrased it badly, I meant I lost 10mpg from my usual fuel economy, rather than actually getting 10mpg. Think I'd have to cruise at 15,000 Rpm constantly to get anything near that :L How much would the sprin...

Re: Urm, greetings.

Hmm, we'll see. I have no intentions to keep it plain and boring though, thinking of a nice Repsol Honda paint job to steal the thunder. I don't think it's possible to argue that that would be a slow colour :D
