Interesting site.

Post by MacV2 »

Saw this on the News the other morn & decided to have a look.

http://bombsight.org

Very interesting, well it is for any Londoners who live or know the areas that is.

I wonder if there is a similar site for Berlin or Dresden ?

Have you a link to whoever still says they "didn't indiscriminately blanket bomb"

There was no laser guided precision bombing in ww2
On 15 August, Croydon, on the outskirts of the capital, was hit in a daylight raid. On 24 August, London entered the firing line, directly. German aircraft bombed the city centre in error, despite Hitler’s standing orders to the contrary. The British retaliated, raiding Berlin on 25 August. Enraged, Hitler changed tactics. He diverted his air force from the destruction of RAF airfields, control sites, support facilities and aircraft production centres to the bombing of London and other British cities.

Even the allies bombed and killed 13-18,000 French civilian while liberating Normandy - and why the French weren't to keen to celebrate their liberators when compared to other European countries.
It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

Because redeveloping Cov will solve all its' many problems.. :L I dunno, I don't pay too much attention to Coventry considering the last time I went there a group of chavs started carving penises into my tank with keys for their mopeds. Not surprised they keep finding bombs though, a fair amount of things were destroyed

Not bombs but another interesting site here that shows how things change throughout the world with the Sea level rising. http://flood.firetree.net/ It looks like the Netherlands will be wiped out pretty quickly.
