Brief bad fuelling after heavy braking from high speed

Anyone else had this issue with their VTR? It may happen in other instances of heavy braking but the bike only seems to run on one cylinder for around 30secs and I'm certain it's a fuelling problem. Before I start taking everything in bits I also tend to get backfiring back through the carb, sounds ...

Re: VTR Manual Cam Chain Tensioners (searches read)

Yeah lesson learned when I backed off the Honda tensioner and then cranked the engine manually making it instantly jump 3-4 teeth due to no tension. I'm worried I have done the tensioner on the front too tight.. Tightened it up with ...

Re: C.C.T Failure but advice plz

Just thought I would ask regarding this. CCT has been getting loud on my VTR and there is definatly some chain slap as the revs drop to idle. I'm going to be replacing the front one with a manual one whilst I wait for the rear one to be delivered. Would a jumped tooth on the cams create a back fire ...

Re: Hello

There's nothing like a little banter! I know this isn't the correct spot but could anyone list the most common faults with the older VTR's (year 2000). The Reg/Rec can be missed off as that has been replaced with a nice new Honda Blackbird item. I'm also aware about the CCTs but unsure if I should b...
