cheap oil

following up on the subject of engine flushing, it was suggested using cheap oil and filter for a hundred or so miles, then changing to a quality oil and filter
would i be ok to use this oil for a very short period and is 4ltrs enough for a firestorm?

Can't comment on the oil, but you need 3.9 litres for an oil change.

I buy 4 and it's always enough with a bit left over.
