what colour wheels?

Post by budd »

I have yellow VTR (see pic )
Image
it’s previous owner in his (or her) wisdom powder coated the rim to match, anyway I guess they didn’t like it and sprayed the ‘outer’ part of the wheel black leaving the centre yellow(just visible in the pic), which to be fair isn’t too bad but it’s having new tyres so I thought while the rims are out and the tyres are off I'll paint the wheels. Initially I was just going to do them black but I’ve got some 2K that is a really close match to the end cases so I’m thinking which will be best black or dk grey ? I know it’s not a life 'n death question but which do I go for? I’m going to shoot the paint Sun so please indicated black or grey and most votes wins help me out here ‘cause I can’t decide
I've now gone all European and bought a KTM Superduke GT and Aprilia RSV1000R :D ,
Storm is now gone  .

Black mate in my opinion.

Mike, You're right Marra's wheels on his Storm were stunning, but I like the colour your wheels are now. They looked polished (in the photo's) without having to keep polishing them

Only my 2p worth I know

The wheels on Marras old bike were stunning.
that does look great, a little to 'bling' for me though to much like hard work keeping it all shiny

how do you polish rims and leave spokes painted, do you mask or polish all of it then paint spokes ?
it may be clever, but its not big.
