Hello all

Post by vtrmann »

Just registered on this VTR forum so thought i would say hi......Bit about my bike:-

Its a 1998 VTR Firestorm 1000F, currently undergoing some massive changes.
In the next couple of weeks it will have, one off VFR 800 single sided swing arm conversion, one off underseat exhaust system, powder coated royal blue wheels and a full Camel Honda [Troy Bayliss] replica paint job [by me] as far as i know it will be the only VTR in the UK with that spec???? let me know if not as i'll have to do something about that!!!!!!!!!!
Will post some pics of the build and the finished article when i get chance.

P.S if anyone has any rear sets [harris or giles etc] for sale let me know having trouble tracking down a set.

All the best

VTRMANN

Is it flash? i was talking to someone the other week about the conversion and thought why not? by the time you off set the money from selling the standard components its not too costly at all, hopefully the micron carbon cans will make up a good chunk of the cost??? we'll see. Oh forgot to add i am thinking of using a blade front wheel to try and match the spokes on the VFR wheel.

blade front end, forks, calipers mc and wheel would be even better - nice to look at but also very practical for the road.

Sounds great VTRMan
It'll be about the third or fourth conversion I've heard of on here but that's still pretty rare really
Looking forward to seeing the results

yeah iv'e noticed that about colour, hence the reason iv'e decided to have a custom yellow paint made up and using troy bayliss camel livery on mine, each to thier own i say, but mine should stand out from the crowd hopefully [spending enough on it to do so!!!]
