I've not had any kids yet but would like the opportunity at some point.

Don't think a 1000 miles on an SP1 would help the chances of that... :biggrin

Good for you if you’re having a go and best of luck  its definately for a worthy cause.

Nope, I know exactly what it feels like doing 870 miles over a two day period on the SP (Marty's visit). Dont think it would be safe to do anymore. I would be riding on auto pilot with no feeling in either hand. Great idea , good cause, wrong bike

I got so excited when I read this post - asked MrsB and got the reply what about Sarah and Andy's wedding - gutted.

How selfish of our friends to get married on 20th June!

Timbo, Iggy and Cuppa,
Are you doing both routes or just the one, If you are heading up on the northern leg, then work permitting I would'nt mind tagging along for some of the way.
Also when and where about are you planning on stopping and starting from?

Cheers

Both routes? Get a grip of yourself. Their both a 1000 miles each so ones enough. I think we've decided on doing the north clockwise route and your name has already been pencilled in as getting a visit. Assuming we leave Squires at 9 in the morning, google maps says 12 hours to get to Wick, that's with fuel and pee stops thrown in. So we'll be there at 9 at night, you'll know yourself from that what time we'll pass your house. If you want to join us for a wee trip to Wick and back that would be cool. If we're well ahead of schedule there's even talk of nipping up to JOG for no other reason than to say we've biked there.

Even if you dont come out to play, after 500 miles we'll be after a cuppa so get the kettle on.
Rich.
