Ah I see. I have never heard anything to confirm the engine was tuned, as in camshafts, pistons or valves being changed,chopper0511 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 01, 2022 12:40 pm anniversary model mostly , seems hard to find info on them , ie what engine tuning took place etc cant seem to find any literature regarding this , i have #2 and trying o build a history mainly for showing purposes

Hello - was it this one you bought then? I'd been looking at it too. Seems the owner wasn't using it as much as he wanted. It's one of those dilemmas... keep it pristine as it's a limited or ride it as it was intended to be. See you at the 25th anniversary?chopper0511 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 30, 2022 12:27 pm Hi folks

First one was sold at Bonhams in 2012 for 2800, blurb says BUILT by RS performance does not mention any tuning, but does mention other mods.
Re: new to the forum
Honda commissioned RS performance to sort the bikes, they were repainted and had many goodies bolted on but on the Firestorm there was No engine work done, not even sure they altered the jetting but the Remus cans are long and work fine with stock carbs.
RS we’re at the time running BSS CBR600’s and they were flavour of the month with Honda.

Agree. No engine work was done, all Russell did was bolt on the parts.popkat wrote: ↑Sat Jul 02, 2022 12:17 pm Honda commissioned RS performance to sort the bikes, they were repainted and had many goodies bolted on but on the Firestorm there was No engine work done, not even sure they altered the jetting but the Remus cans are long and work fine with stock carbs.
