Well after a heated conversation with my wife as she is without a car at the moment (bus wonker) I’m going to put the blade on the road very soon . Just a few little jobs and a few parts to get ( indicators , horn , bar end weights , tyres and it’ll be ready for a MOT . Looks sh1t mind but I’ll sort that out once I’ve got my wife here own car again . I never really wanted this bike to be on the road ( to many badgers ) but needs must

Finally was hit with the fun water pump seal leak. Guess I can't complain too much as it is the OEM bit and lasted 25 years....Of course it has finally turned to nice weather and I'm waiting on parts...... :Ball Kick:

Went to have a blast on the FJ but the battery was flat so I put it on charge and to the TDR250 out for a good ragging

Set to again on the reluctant somebody elses Storm.

Checked carb balance on Monday all was good.

Today stripped it back down & put another set of carbs on it... Runs a bit better but donsn't want to hold tick over runs for a bit then drops down & cuts out.

Revs up better now though with out all the coughing & spluttering.

Noticed the front down pipe is not getting as hot as the rear...

Blokes coming over tomorrow anyhow to discuss...

I see another strip down & swaping coils see if that helps...

Bloody things...

Done a compression test?
I could bring one in Saturday if you like.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

This will be the first one for me. It doesn't look too tough and I am hoping my small arbor press will be able to do the job

So had a vist from Neil the owner of the Reluctant Storm. Fired it up & he was quiet supprised at how better it was running...

So we decided to change the coils, he went off to get some fule as it was a bit low now... I got the rear one swapped, tank off strip down to get my carbs off & his back on... Boxed it back up fresh fule...Fires it up it's back to running lumpy ... Sure its the PAIRs system on it so that needs to come off...

It's not cutting out as much as it was, ran it right up to almost the red on the temp but the fan never kicked in... 8O

Did a few other bits & bobs, we wont be having a swap deal as I've lowered what I'd give him for his...It's a breaker TBH needs tyres, C&S + all the other crap...

Been there done that don't really want it...

On a better note... I went out on The Murvinator...Summer jacket & summer gloves.... :D
