both the ignition boxes are tucked up under the alloy plate and it leaves room between the subframe rails for the other bits and bobs

Superb, thanks Rob
There's an awful lot of stuff under a Storm seat, I've got some head scratching to do, but your pics have been a great help.
But, unfortunately I'm now going to have to report you to Chris, for posting pornographic images on the forum...

Re: happy 6th birthday dori.
Hey Rob, after studying your work of art again, also zooming in like you do I have noticed you have the top fixing for your shock turned 90 degrees to normal fitment, is this a temporary mod or something else
Chris.
Re: happy 6th birthday dori.
well spotted EAGLE EYES Chris.
Rob, you will want to spin that 90 degrees, that orientation will put extra stress on the shock top bearing and the saddle bracket mount.

Re: happy 6th birthday dori.
I was wondering if it was done to get the hose for the remote canister facing in a different direction, that is if the shock has a remote canister of course,
Chris.

that whole rear setup has since been changed. two shocks and one linkage later i now run a Hagon shock so its all good
actually looking at those last naked pics the list is endless that has been changed since those were taken. rear end, rear wheel ,carbs, stacks, complete front end, and loads of little brackets along with a general tidy up all over.

Re: happy 6th birthday dori.
You would make a good politician Rob
On a more series note, I thought with your experience on trick aftermarket shocks, you would be a good person to ask how do you find the Hagon shock
When my Penske shock was away being serviced I put the original OEM shock back in my Storm, but used my Maxton weight related spring instead of the OEM yellow spring. The part I found missing the most was the lack of compression damping, and of course no adjustment to dial in anymore,
Chris.
Re: happy 6th birthday dori.
i cant even remember the first shock i tried but before the hagon i had a Penske which i just never got on with, the spring was right but i could never get it just how i wanted it, im only 10 stone soaking wet and run the first bit of compression travel soft on all my bikes, the Hagon i just threw it in and it felt right for my weight and the fact iv a lot of the weight on the bike tipped forward. not very technicalsirch345 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 15, 2021 3:45 pmYou would make a good politician Rob

said carbon guards fitted, still a bit of trimming and bolt matching on the sprocket cover but near done.
