Swingarm

Post by popkat »

Swingarm wanted free :o

I just need it for the guide bit for the rear brake bracket, The swingarm itself will then be scrap or useful only for modifying. Has anyone got one lying around unused and unloved ?

Happy to cover postage but at the cheapest option as I don't know if the part I want will work anyway.

It's only a rectangular bit of aluminium welded on!

any bit of ally will do.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

i have a swinger that has a dangerously deep groove worn in it from a thrown chain or failed wheel bearing. Would be a few quid to post though

Just had a quick look on parcels to go, Yodel do a collection for £9.59, I just put 20kg in, it will weigh less than that. That's of course relying on your good nature to package it up and arrange the collection.
It would help out my project VFR/storm race bike :D
.

Tony, I couldn't get the piece made up for £10 and I don't have any material to cut up or any way of machining it, or even the time to do it, there's so much else to do on the bike and work will take all my time if I don't get lots done soon.

When I've got the bit I need off the arm it could make a good project for someone. Use your brace, get a mini Brembo caliper and custom bracket with torque arm.

I have one with a tap stuck in the chain adjuster threads. You are welcome to that one if Tony can't sort you out.

Lloydie - I saw your brace kit ages ago and I'm tempted. Just need to be fast enough to make it worth while.
