My Dream project...
Just about finished my Superdream...
Home applied custom paint, aftermarket bars, clocks, idiot lights, home made dash, home made rearsets, home adapted mudguards, aftermarket seat, rear light, indicators. Quite pleased with the look, wanted to keep it on budget, as at the end of a day, it's just a 250 Honda! Lots of fun doing it though. Passed MOT this week so will get it insured and ride it for a while.
Keeping the Storm, of course!!

Very nice job
On close inspection, is that disc a bit close to the fork leg?

Re: My Dream project...
I know what you mean, but both ends are standard and the brake caliper seems to work with the set up so I assume it's OK. I tried to leave a lot of the bike standard...I know a lot of folks take off the airbox and put K&N's on each each carb, but that means fudging around with the carbs so didn't want to get too radical.Varastorm wrote:Very nice job

I see a lot of 'cafe racers' are advertised and the owners have simply stuck a single seat on a bike...bit lazy for me, so I put lots of time into the adaptation to get it to this point...have to say it was a bunch of fun though!

Re: My Dream project...
great job......... but I agree that the front wheel isn't in the middle of the forks, looks like the spacers are mixed up

I'll get out the old tape measure and check that out! With the floating front caliper it could accommodate a shift left or right so I'll check it and report back...thanks for observation

Re: My Dream project...
Well I checked the spacing of the front wheel today and it's exactly equidistant from each fork leg. From wheel rim to mudguard bracket is exactly 1 1/4'' (31mm in new money!)....both sides. I can see why it looks offset in the pic but the measurement confirms that it's correctly spaced...the spacer on the right side of the bike is fixed and the speedo drive is on the left and looks like it's all assembled OK. Another tell tale is that if it was wrong it would foul the caliper bracket...but that looks OK too.Pem Brooke wrote:AMCQ46 wrote:great job......... but I agree that the front wheel isn't in the middle of the forks, looks like the spacers are mixed up

Pictures don't always tell a thousand words. It's all an illusion. Love the close up pics by the way
