Hi guys got my mate coming to look at it tomorrow who's a mechanic (runs his own company) but I am crapping myself as its my only bike on the road ATM.

Ohh I live on the isle of wight.

On the plus side, a kill switch backfire will not be the cause for a CCT failure, so you don't need to beat your self up. If CCTs failed then it was a pure coincidence.

Also, as tony said, look for the basics too.

Get you mate to put a screw driver in the back of the CCT and check if there is any spring return force (don't turn them more that 1 turn when checking this).
If they both spring back then it's not CCT failure, but if one is loose, then it has failed

You got compression .. A loose fitting spark plug(s) check them out and
Plug caps/ ignition/electrical connections :thumbup:
