Same here but half choke when cold and quarter-to-none when warm.. Then full choke once it catches...

50 degrees is generally the 'ferking go for it mate', temperature

Think I've got it, had a little okay tonight couldn't do it to many times as it was getting warm.

Ignition on twist throttle once then start button just as about to fire ad choke on full.

It has all been said , but the the vtr motor is a big lump of
an engine to start and the 1 st consideration is electrics ..
a sound powerfull battery to spin the motor and of course
top starter motor and top rectifier to charge. From what I can see
most start on the button on choke from cold , run for 10 secs , half
choke after for 20 secs and then well once moving the choke goes in
and we pull away... when hot its just the button.... make sure you
use top petrol , strange... but my vtr ran rough when I used fuel from a
little used station , it might have been crappy but my motor didn't like it.
Petrol stations with a high turn over of customers are best and riders
have their favourites.
