My red storm :)
My red storm :)
I got my storm for a pretty nice price as it was a bit tatty so i decided to tidy it up and i wanted to share the results. After 2 TL1000s aka the widowmaker i thought a storm would be boring boy was i wrong!:)
When i first got it after a wash
Front end rebuilt forks painted wheel powder coated new seals and bearings.
Middle of tidy up
Back end in progress.
All finnished for now im very happy with the result new bearing powder coated rear various bits and bobts blasted and painted upgraded/replaced rear footrests gone for some nice hangers

Out of interest, I also had a TLS, how do you find they compare?

The TLS was all or nothing i found which was great at high speed a pain below that. The clutch on both the ones i had was so heavy it gave you hand ache lol.vtrjock wrote:Looks nice fella.

The firestorm can potter around all day below 6000 rpm but wind it up and your in for a treat! also have to work the gearbox more on the storm than on the Tls not a problem for me but i was surprised by this at first as the tl just had more grunt everywhere. I would still say the firestorm is a better all round bike though

Very good effort, congratulations and mine's a pint. Agree about the need for a belly pan, oh and a set of racetecs or supercorsas for that extra grip when you need it.......scraping the pegs after going in too hot!
If you've over-cooked it, just lean it over more.
