On an SP1 getting a knee down looks easy....

Ok, got my knee down to the floor today but the storm was deffo lots lower than when I do it on my Kwak ZX9 and very much felt that I was doing it for the sake of it and that there was no advantage gained by doing it. It also felt very close to the edge. Don't think I'll do it again on the storm.

Wheel base lenght can make a big difference too.
The longer the bike, the more you have to lean it over to get around the same circumference. The storm will do it no probs

You just have to stick your knee out and it touches down

Actually,
I've always been a coward and I lift mine up to stop it from touching (no plastic sliders on my knees). I'ts only supposed to be a guideline for how low you are going after all. And for gawds sake, keep your eyes on the vanishing point and don't look at your knee if you are going to try and do it :eek2

But how will you brag about it then if you don't have knee sliders? You need to know the exact distance between the road and your knee

Actually Virt, I heard stories of some of the Guys taking a rasp file to their sliders just to make it look like they have something to brag about
As long as I can keep up with the pack, I'm fine and sometimes it's more manly to know when not to try and keep up with the pack. I'd much rather come home on two wheels than in a bag :eh:

I have ground holes in my headers on the storm on both sides back in the old days when my suspension was stock... I'm fairly confident I could do it again today if I wanted too, but I don't see the point of trying...

Didn't put my knee down, since I didn't need too... Could I have done so? Yes, easily... But I never really needed too... My kneepucks are still shiney, but I go around the knee grinders on a fair amount of bends, leaving them behind...

A+ for effort, but you still have a 4-5 degree's to go before you grind the headers... Start practicing...

Its no harder on a storm than any other bike. The idea of getting your knee is so the bike is more upright as this gives more grip.
