Back again....

Post by sonofpat1969 »

Hi again....
Thought I best say my hellos again after a break from the forum.
Not posted in a while, but still have a 2000 storm, currently in yellow and yet to break it with any more unfortunate tinkering mishaps...
Not ridden for a couple of weeks as just had my gall bladder removed.... Last time I attempted a trip out battery was kapupt...after losing full charge in less than a week, so new one on order, along with skidmarx bellypan. MOT this week if feeling up to it, so fingers crossed.
Patrick.

Check your R/R esp if unfinned early version.
It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

Hi, Patrick.

Try a new battery, but best is to keep the battery on a trickle charge constantly.

If you're not parked near mains elec, then Maplins do a little suitcase solar trickle charger that can be left connected.
It won't charge a flat battery, but keeps one topped up nicely, even on overcast days. About 6" by 12" when opened up, light and small enough to pop into a rucksack and take with you.

Only problem is it's not waterproof, so a little plastic case is needed.

And I'm sure I've seen a bike cover with a flexible solar charging panel built in somewhere...
Seemed a very good idea.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Welcome back Patrick  I hope you're well on the mend now, gall bladder problems are very painful.
