The King is dead............

Post by cupasoop »

long live blah, blah, blah. You know how it goes.

Anyway, some of you know that I bought a 98 Fireblade at the beginning of the year and, to be honest, it's been the best bike I've owned. Everything you read about them in the rags is true, their brilliant to ride. The only fly in the ointment was that I was in constant pain when riding it. My days of curling up into a ball to fit on a sports bike are obviously behind me (I knew that beforehand but I wanted one last dance), so after a bit of wheeling and dealing today, meet the new king.............

ZRX1100. Had a paint job at some point in it's life and is now proper team green, not that nasty metallic green they usually are.

I've spent the last 6 months looking for that elusive 7th gear on the blade and I go and buy a 5 speed. Rode all the way home looking for 6th

If I don't cut back on the pies soon you can book me as a Timbo impersonator. I'm half way there as it is.

Glasgow Rangers :? ......who are they ?......of course i know ,but it seems Enger-land do not even rate them , hardly any mention of Scottish fitba in the English tabloids . It wont be that in a few years time when both Celtic and Rangers are taking the premiership by storm . what me goin on about , i hate Fitba :!:

I can see those windmills awaaaay in the distance when approachin the village ,yet ive never actually been there , it's Europes biggest inland windfarm ,...Whitelees.

Aye, thats a nice bike you've got , looks good :!:

Oh well mate there comes a time in a mans life when a real sportsbike is just too much for him :biggrin. Only kidding, I like the ZRX a lot. Nice bike in the only Kwak colour.

It certainly looks a nice clean bike Rich, especially in that last pic :!:

Glad too hear you're happy with it :D

Chris.

PS. What you need is a gear indicator  It'll save you always looking for that extra gear that is not there :plainsmile

Had the same problem with my old RF900. Funny thing was, when I changed over to the firestorm it felt as if I was constantly changing gear having six again.
Have fun witht the new buy :P
