Did you prep it for hibernation or did you just bung it in the shed for 5 months?
Carb could be gunged up from standing if you didn't drain the float bowls.

Re: Moriwaki Special - Practical Sportsbikes Mag
Wow, I've just read StormyRob's story.
This guy's got some gall, that's for sure. He should be counting his lucky stars he's not eating through a straw, not slagging it about in magazines!

Rev counter - black or white?
My F-3 has a black rev counter, most of the ones I see in pics are white. Was this a change on the later bikes?

Put air in the feckin tyres cos the lazy arsed previous owner clearly couldn't be bothered! Funny, goes round corners now!

Re: Advice on fuelling/carb setup
No, was a home mechanic who'd bought the bike to do up after it lunched the cct on the previous owner. Seemed like he knew what he was on about, although when I questioned him about it not revving past 7 he claimed that he hadn't ridden it that hard! Kinda difficult NOT to ride it that hard

Re: Advice on fuelling/carb setup
Cheers guys, timing was indeed out by 180 degrees! Would never have believed it could run like that, but I suppose it's carb fed with wasted spark ignition it's quite easy. What a transformation though, rides like it should now. Also found the intake stacks back to front (I guess arrows are not enou...

Advice on fuelling/carb setup
Hi all, Picked up the new toy today (it's an 03 plate, 25000 miles) but I'm a bit miffed by the way it's running. Starts fine with a little choke, warms up ok, pulls well under load up to around 7k rpm then goes really flat. She's also spitting back on a steady throttle up to 3k rpm. She's wearing s...

Re: Firestorm Face book page
Facebook is for airing dirty laundry in a very public fashion, oft interspersed with unwanted, uneducated trolling. Forums tend to be for the more discerning Firestorm owner :D Generally, if people have a serious interest they'll be on a forum. I'm on Facebook but haven't even looked for a group bec...

Re: Howdy Hoo!
Thanks Guys, look forward to getting to a workshop day. Perfectly capable of doing the CCT's, but having 15 month old apprentice takes up a lot of time  I'm in Bridgend, South Wales. Going to be building some form of secure home for the bike too, what's the thieving scumbag rates like on bikes...

Howdy Hoo!
:biggrin Hello all. I've just bought a nice shiny Storm after far too many years of no bike. I couldn't possibly go another summer with no bike, so I find myself the proud owner of a very nice (hopefully) 03 Storm in shiny blue. I previously owned a black 2000 Storm W158 RHT so big shout to whoever ...
