Re: VTR Cafe Fighter Project

Just noticed this thread. Just want to say good luck with achieving what you're setting out to achieve. I like the bike you've posted as inspiration. Looks well cool and will be great to ride no doubt. There's a cool looking mv on rocket garage posted today. The storm is a trifle ugly undressed but ...

Re: Gissa go Mate..

A few weeks ago I came across an old book I bought in '87 about the space shuttle. As part of the development they used craft like the X-15. Looking at some of the stats with these things, acceleration, speed, height and not least approach angle, made me think the guys that flew them must have had s...

That's stating the obvious, I know, but I've found that with nothing higher than the handlebars there's no object to cause turbulence at chest height and above. Hence one encounters laminar air flow. I don't deny that th...

Re: Streetfighter conversion

.....As said shouldn't be too much of a problem if you avoid long M-way hauls & speeds above 50ish... Personally speaking, these days I ride for pleasure. But I ride quite a lot. I avoid motorways like the plague, because, for me, that defeats the object of riding for pleasure. But I'm not sure...

With the exception of maybe the seat hump being a bit exaggerated, I like this. Very stylish. Different!

Re: Funny front end

Separating steering forces from suspension forces was seen as a holy grail. But when people (like the Elf racer) actually got it working, it wasn't any faster, just more complex. And every bearing needs to be perfect, any slop at all is magnified. Lovely engineering, but to my mind it's a complex s...
