I really like those Suzy 500's lots of torquey things and sound fab....wouldn't mind one as a friend to the Storm...Richard wrote:Only ever rode a kh250 absolutely smooth as silk up to about eighty and then just sort ran out of steam.
I've had 3 t500 and 1 gt500 certainly not silky smooth but very good fun

Here's my current second bike...it's a lovely 1975 S1C triple 250cc....predecessor to the later KH250. Original 4,600 miles and new show quality paintjob! These things are a hoot to ride...and that sound and smell!!! Mmmmm! For sale too!! PM me if you are interested.... :) http://i36.photobucket.com...

Quick ride to Coldstream on the river Tweed this morning...right up through Northumberland from Whitley Bay...what a lovely run! 60 miles, topped up in Whitley Bay then topped up at Coldstream...and used 5 litres of petrol going up there...more economical than I thought! Sounds too good to be right....

Look here: http://www.roadar-northeast.org.uk/index.html I've ridden with the Chairman, John Ennis, and he's amazing to watch (and try and keep up with). They say they are over subscribed so you may want to try here: http://www.roadartynedale.co.uk/ The website doesn't say much about the "ridi...

Re: Bike falls over...oooeerrr!
Most of the people I've ridden with on here seem fairly keen to live another day (with the honourable exception...). Even so, advanced training can teach anyone new tricks. Keep clear of the IAM. In general it's rubbish and expensive to boot. Look for a local Roadar group. Part of Rospa. £20pa subs...

Re: Bike falls over...oooeerrr!
if only you had glorious weather, then it would remind me of home hahaha[/quote] Know what you mean! Although we had to endure minus 30 during the winter when we lived in Canada, the summers were guaranteed to be sunny and HOT. Plus 30 to minus 30 each year. Trouble is we had enough of the minus 30 ...

Re: Bike falls over...oooeerrr!
I have holidayed in Northumberland many times, mostly in or around Beadnell and although it could never be as hot as Spain, a good thing IMHO, when the weather is kind it is very very pleasant. I do have to admit that when it is unkind you do tend to feel it. Again each to there own but I do like t...

By the way I know Rothbury and it is a very beautiful part of the world. And I would think fantastic on a bike Yep, we have some amazing roads up in Northumberland....we live about 2 miles to the south of the border. Rothbury is about 30 minutes on the bike. Smooth flowing free A and B roads, stunn...

Bike falls over...oooeerrr!
Out for a run yesterday and stopped in Rothbury (lovely village, Northumberland), sat having a pot of tea with biker mate. Big BMW touring thingy, R1200RT, parked across the road. Guy, late 60's, 5' 6'', 10 stone, climbs on, starts it up, rides up to T junction. Starts to make right turn...hesitates...

Been catching up with the WSB rounds recently...where are all the crowds? I went to a few rounds years back and it was heavin' ...now it looks like a club event!? Did Foggy vs Scott Russel have the winning formula? Has Moto GP now stolen all the fans? :? Conversely, BSB is throng with fans at the tr...

Beware - scammer!
I've got my Kawasaki for sale at the moment and had an ad on Gumtree. Got a call on my mobile today from a guy wanting to know why I had dropped the price by half... he was rightly suspicious! He had replied to an E mail address that had been posted AS AN IMAGE within my pictures...directing enquiri...

Side stand buddy
Thought I'd share a bit of kit that I use with my bikes... On the sidestand , I often find the bike leans too far over. Or, if I'm parked on a dirt car park, nervous about the stand sinking...If I lived down south, I could also include hot tarmac causing a tip over, but on the North East coast, that...
