tank removal

mam a newbie and wanna no how to take the tank off , does it just pull off after turnin key ? cheers

Hi Matey and welcome.

not sure what your after...are you askin how to take the tank off the bike or the cap off the tank.

for the tank you need to remove the two bolts at the front of the tank by the head stock, and also the long bolt that is at the back of the tank at the front of the seat. then the tank can be lifted up and you can disconnect the hoses, taking note of where they all are as if you put them back on the wrong place the bike doesn't work properly.

as for the cap...i've no idea, not had it off b4.

Remember to turn the fuel off aswell! Once you lift the tank you can get to the valve and give it a twist, then pull the hoses!
