Signatures

Post by Kermit »

Hi all, as I'm a newB here & have little input to give having only owned my VTR for a fortnight I'd like to offer my services making signature banners for anyone who'd like one. I like playing around with photoshop and this'll give me summat to do whilst it's raining !

Doesn't have to be for this forum either, just let me know what your after, style, colour, pics, wording etc & I'll have a bash. I'm not that good but I'll certainly do my best for you.

Don't forget most forums have a dimensions and/or filesize limit so please check em out first & let me know.

Cheers, Bob

Using CS2. Completely self taught, bar the odd tutorial here and there.

This is my fave signature I've made for someone else. Pic of car was supplied to me already cut-out but the background & spark effects were made by me.

Hi Squiffy, some nice stuff there.

To be honest, there ae so many brushes available on the net I've never really looked into making my own.

The sparks/smoke effect I made using multiple layers smudging and blurring then finally used a splatter type brush with "outer glow" for the sparks. there's around 15 visible layers there which was quite a bit of work.
I pretty much just play around til I get what I'm looking for, one thing I've never got the hang of is masking. i think using a graduated mask would save me alot of effort when trying to gel the whole image together.

No Probs KAZ, email em to me if you like.

Struggling a little with yours Barry, I normally like to seperate the backround from the main focus of the pic but the pic you posted was a little small for me to cut you out as it where !
Anyways, this is what I have come up with so far:

Let me know if I'm heading in the right direction here or if you are looking for something completely different?

Me too. You've got a knack, Kermit. I'll have to hunt something down for mine!

Very generous offer of you, too, so thanks!

looks really cool kermit, i like how youve used the image, wasnt the easiest thing to work with by the looks of it!

Your very right about the brushes, you can pretty much find anything on deviant these days!

Layer masks are really useful, if you look on goodtutorials.com you will find several tuts on how to use them!

Might be a good place to slap these up for those folks who missed them or who are looking for wallpapers.

All done in PSCS2.
