It was a good day until !!!!!!!!!

Post by Jason »

Had a great day went to squires cafe got home about 3.30 and a mate rang so I told him to call around, which he did about 4.15 had a coffee and then off we went for a quick run, Craig wanted to go Congelton way but after my long day I said lets stay around by me, we were having a good quite run, following 2 cars on the A51 heading towards Nantwich as we passed the Swan with 2 Necks pub the car in front was signaling to turn left, as he turned I started to accelerate and the car waiting at the junction just pulled out, I locked up slid and then bounced off this car. I stayed where I landed until the ambulance came to remove me, I was put on a spine board with a neck block (there was traffic chaos) some time later they got me to A&E,OH AND JANE THE WIFE WAS THERE WAITNIG FOR ME (sorry babe)
10 x rays later and all that. and they let me come home at 9.30pm

Blimey the pictures say it all....

If you've not broken anything you've gotten away lightly m8, been injured meself for 3 months out of the last 12 and it's a pain in the butt. No doubt you're battered and bruised though so put your feet up and ask the wife to bring you a beer ;) for medicinal purposes of course...

The bike can be mended or replaced, main thing is you're in one piece. GWS m8

Sorry to hear of your accident. Get well soon.

Sounds as though you'll recover quicker than the bike.

I ache from head to toe, got no strength in my arms at all but all in all not to bad thanks.

The damage is

Faring cracked at the top and side
Lower Faring damaged
Mirror twisted
Screen gone
Gear lever snapped off
Engine casing damaged but not cracked
Stand twisted
Seat cowl scratched
I dont know if anything else is bent yet?

So what we the insurance do ? repair or right it off its a year 2000 (W)

Driving in today saw another poor bugger taken out by a U-turner. Rider was up and seemed OK though the bike damage probably the same as yours. Everything on a car seems to be an optional extra these days - indicators, mirrors, brain

dont let them write it off. say you can get it repaired for £50 less than the money they are offering.

guaranteed they will try to write it off

surely if they write it iff it would only be cat c or somit so damage could be repaired and the bike put back on the road??

a full payout and less £££ to repair = money in pocket, no??
