Avon Vipers ???

Post by bacharach »

Need to buy new tyres tomorrow thanks to a rogue bolt sunbathing in the middle of Highgate Road, that fact that the tyres were squared off and were due for a change anyway may have been a factor.

In any of the previous forums every debates between Michilen Pilots and Bridgestone 020s with the odd Dunlop thrown in.

Has anyone got any opinions on Avon Vipers. My friend has them on his Super Blackbird and he swears by them.

Would like to hear what you think......

Snap, had them on a BB and they were great. Heat up quickly in wet and dry, fantastic wet grip, dual compound. Lasted about 5000kms if I remember correctly, but I can confirm this later.

i run avon azaros st on my 1400 and they are fantastic grippy and durable almost 6000 miles from the back and the front still going strong with 8000 miles :P

i know these might be shite on the firestorm but the avons you are trying might be the equivalent and perhaps will end up on mine next time so please report back with your findings

Went to the tyre shop and they did not have the Avon Vipers so I got some Pirelli Diablo Stradas instead which is another new option as I have not read any VTR reviews of the tyres but the general reviews of the tyre seem good so I will have to keep you posted. (when the shinyness has been worn off.
