What my bikes have taught me !

Post by RAINMAKER »

1 honda 250 g5 - how to put it in gear without stalling, that loose gravel mid bend is bad, and it hurts when you fall off.

2 honda cb 550 f2 its never as big as you think, size does not mean fun, and to take notes and photos when you strip it, so you don't look at a pile of nuts and bolts washers and o rings on the floor and wonder where they should have gone.

3 honda 250 xls that im not a off road rider, it still hurts when you fall off, broken ankle.

4 honda kz 750 . some bikes are trying to kill you, just because your mates got one, dont mean its right for you.

5 bmw r100s should have kept it.

6 honda vf 750 make sure your insurance is right, when it gets stolen and they wont pay out its a bummer.

7 honda cb 900 f2 should have kept it, sold it for deposit on house (first marriage) would have been better to keep the bike.

8 honda cb 750 f2 bland is bland

9 honda cbr 1000f ok but sold to pay bills.

10 honda cbr 1100xx blackbird, divorce present

11 honda vtr 1000 f got passed by one knew i had to have one. met you guys, best thing ever.

12 bmw r 1150 rt comfort isnt everything

13 suzuki gsxr 1000k6 thought i needed proper sports bike - I didn't

14 harley superglide custom 1584 cc should have told wife first. did not go well. no on15e wants to buy a harley when you need to sell it

15 yamaha xjr 1300 I'm still not a mechanic, always breaking down, bought with rose coloured glasses

16 bmw r nine t racer, looks are everything, buy with emotion an feeling. its the only way
it may be clever, but its not big.

some of my highlights are

KX500 supermoto racer. hurts a lot.

VTRs are bad for the wallet

Z250 kawa. when you wheelie and the left grip comes of, you go through a hedge.

GS850 suzuki. if you hit a car hard enough you can fit the bike through the side door.

Aprilia 660... the brakes try to kill you.

Ducati 900 darmah, they break cranks on the motorway :eek2

RD350lc proddy racer. when the throttle sticks open at the end of a straight, you have to jump really fast.

XR250. the police dont find them funny when you wheelie and ban you from the roads.

RD250. when you stop at lights dont put your right foot down, the kickstart goes up your jeans and you fall over

DT50 yamaha, dont look at girls walking along when the bus infront stops. crunch :eek2

YZF450 supermoto racer. they crash into your brother on the last lap :eek2

how did i actually get to this age.(all of the above plus about 70 other bikes)
the older i get,the faster i was
