clip removal for spark plug

how do you remove the clip that attach to the oil cooler do i break it and replace it its for the spark plug lead

That plastic clip that holds the HT lead in place is mounted on the metal bracket that supports the oil cooler. I would try to remove plastic clip in one piece if possible, as I doubt you'll be able to buy a new one anymore. I have not had to remove one of these HT lead supports before, but from looking online they could be bonded to the metal bracket.

Do you want to do this for powder coating the support bracket :?:

It is a "clam shell" type of clamp that opens in the middle. It has been a while but I believe you push the bottom half to one side which allows it to open.
It can be tough to open. option "B" would be to remove the plug boot from the HT lead and slide the lead through the clamp. :wink:
