VTR streetfighter by Radwan
VTR streetfighter by Radwan
I am starting a new topic which I would like to share with you my plans and their progress .
A week ago, I purchased a VTR1000 converted into a streetfighter. It can be said that it is 100% complete but with defects.
issues at the moment:
- KOSO DB01 speedometer backlight not work
- fuel level is not displayed on KOSO DB01.
- motorcycle jerk at 5000 RPMs and at 7000 RMS(generally feel that there is a lack of power in the mid and high range RPMs)(carbs right now, mj:175&178, pj:45&45, ps: 2 and 1/2, standard airbox and airfilter)
- leaking front suspension
plans, mods, upgrades:
+ carb tuning based on knowledge from the forum for 2in1 exhaust
+ front suspension leaks repair
+ welding the new subframe adjusting the RSV4 tail
+ fender change, spoiler change, painting
+ brake stainless hoses

Re: VTR streetfighter by Radwan
nice bike to start with... try a 2 into 2 system you will find it should run better
the older i get,the faster i was

Small [UpDate]
I managed to do a few things, including:.
+ Mod of MT-03 lamp (lens with LEDs),
+ assembly of all brake and clutch cables in a steel braid,
+ changed jets in carbs(main jets and pilot jets),
+ changed brake and clutch reservoirs
+ I found a fuel level sensor from a Chinese 125ccm motorcycle (5$ ), it fits perfectly with the bolt spacing and the hole, the only thing that needs to be changed is to bend the sensor to work freely from 0 to 100 ohms then I already have the fuel level on koso meter.
At the beginning next year, I'm going to paint the frame, engine to black, I need to fix the backlight of the clocks, install the manual tensioner.

Re: VTR streetfighter by Radwan
Small update, I managed to get a KOSO DB-02R counter + indicator kit for $80.
6 hours of work and everything connected .
The previous KOSO DB-01R had a damaged backlight, the DB-02R is 1000x better than it. DB-02r features include:

Little update.
During the last week I managed to disassemble practically whole bike.
When I pick up the frame and other stuff, I'm getting down to the final assembly of bike, keep your fingers crossed ; )
During the last week I managed to disassemble practically whole bike.
- The frame was taken out and given with the sets, spring for powder painting
- I've check valve clearance all valves were ok.
- Finally I mounted MCT, I figuret out that front cilinter timing was bad (FI, FE marks to not on the same line, Its fixed now)
- Engine was painted by VHT engine spray.
- I bought front suspension, my current one has scaze in the chrome and leaks.

That should look like a real mean-machine with a black frame

Re: VTR streetfighter by Radwan
I had some free time recently, so I decided to doing some stuff.
1. I replaced the front suspension with a used one in very good condition, painted it black as well
2. I put together almost the whole motorcycle, I'm just waiting for the rear end from the RSV4, the painter is going to paint it soon
3. I took care of the little things (laying the wiring harness, replacing a few wires, replacing the missing screws, mounting the meter holder, hiding the wires, etc.)
I am very happy with the fact that I painted the frame, engine, rear spring and sets black, it rejuvenated the bike a lot, now there is a greater "harmony of colors".
I'm going to do riding on bike when the weathe will be better, next step will be tuning carburetors for the exhaust, etc. The motorcycle must be 100% efficient and satisfy me.
I have a plan to put a ceramic coating on the exhaust system (BLACK MATE), mod of oil cooler and put front coolant cooler as well

Hey up,
Like what you have done, very good job.
Where did you get the small clutch reservoir?
Looking that myself.
Cheers
