KTM...RIP

Post by Mav617 »

Not the company, but my little Duke 390 has been written off following a crash into an Audi A5 that pulled out on me on the A217. Impacted him around 30mph (down from 40 when I saw him about a second before impact) No fault my side, fairly bruised and glad for the back protector but now I need another bike. After careful consideration, am going to get.....another 390 Duke. Awesome commuter, ideal for Londonistan and the motorway so now to try and find and fund one.
I'm so unlucky that if there is such a thing as re-incarnation I'll come back as me!

Glad you are ok Mav, even a 30mph crash can be bad, but it sounds like you bounced well.

Offer to buy back the written off one, then you have some spares.
Hope you heal soon.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Cheers fellas, just put a deposit down on another 390 Duke. Thinking to also chop the BMW in and get another Storm for weekend usage. Some good value ones around these days.

I'm glad you're reasonably okay Mav, although no doubt rather sore and bruised.

Good luck in finding a good replacement KTM, fingers crossed the one you have put a deposit on is the one,

Chris.

Wow mate, nasty business. Glad to hear you’re not too badly hurt. Glad you’ve located a likely replacement, hope it all goes through OK.
The Storm thing is crazy, look on Gumtree and the prices are all over the shop. Some delusional owners after 3-4k. There’s still some sensible ones out there, Mac has the rest!! 😉

Glad your ok, I have my storm for sale, would be great if it went someone on here, everything you’d want is on it.

Oooh, that's tempting Popkat, you're in deepest, darkest Devon?

I've to move my Beemer on, you looking to sell quickly?

Ideally yes would like to sell soon as, but if you wanted it we can come to some arrangement where I could hang in a bit, as said would love it go to someone here. Also as I’m probably a long way from you I could deliver or meet up as I have a van.

Could you px the BM against the KTM ?, just a thought
