Practical Sportsbikes issue 139 May 2022

Post by Kev L »

I haven’t been keeping up with the usual bike mags for a while, Bike, Performance bikes, RIDE, Practical Sportsbikes all got a bit samey.
Anyway walking around Tesco and saw a copy of Practical Sportsbikes on the shelf with some nice cover bikes so popped it in the trolley.
So made a coffee, sat in front of the box to have a read. Turned over to page 82 and there displayed before me is our very own housewife and superstar (well baker and brake fixer really!) Jonesey!
A good honest review of our very own beloved Honda Firestorm VTR1000F by someone who has owned, loved and ridden one for an extensive period of time. Four page article with Chris discussing some of the various mods he had on his bike over the years. Well done mate👍
The article also finishes with a question for one of our members! What’s the answer?
😉

Fast bikes this month has one in the track day pics section.
They're getting common as muck!
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

It’s only let down by the mean, moody and magnificent pose by the owner ( more confused, elderly and morose! 😉) and the glare from the receding hairline 😂

It’s good to see someone with more than a couple of hours riding one do the review. Still covered all the usual suspects, CCT, Reg/Rec,Tank range but without ignoring the benefits.

Good find Kev.
Did someone drop it in the Gardiners weekly section by mistake or did you find it down the side of a cushion in the Home comforts section?

What's Chris charging for signed copies? :D
