Hi all,

I've just picked up a bit of a dog VTR that I hope to bring back to some form of standard.
It's a black 98 with 44k. It has a hideous red seat and conversion to hi-rise rental bars that both have to go immediately.
On that note, tony.mon has some clip ons for sale that id like to buy, but as a new user I can't post/reply in that section. If someone could be so kind as to drop him a PM to link him to this post, I'd be very grateful.
I have a few other questions that I'll post soon, but wanted to start with a quick hello.

I have an 06 Hornet at the moment, I fixed this up a little and think it's great, but I'm missing some mid range torque that I know the VTR will offer.
I've also had a 99 VFR800 and 94 VFR400, so a Honda man without really realising it.
Cheers
Pat

how do the yoshi pipes sound I’ve got ARTs but had to go back to standard they were seriously loud and looking for a more subtle increase in noise.

Also is that a modified rear end i want to make the rear more tidy with a tail tidy bit looks like I’d have to cut the original plastics

Hi Dee,
To be honest, I've only had about 5 minutes with the bike since I brought it as a non runner.
I have got it started and found the pipes quite loud. Loud enough for me to have already ordered some removable baffles, but I'm quite conscious about noise for my neighbors where I will use the bike to leave early for work.

No, I believe it has an original back end, albeit with some horrid carbon fibre effect film over the undertray.

I suspect I'll start a build thread to update progress over the coming weeks

Hi Moose,
Yes I did. A very basic advert , collection from Witney, Oxfordshire.

Thanks, some of those bits could be useful, but I'm putting some money into the mechanical repairs first, to check it rides alright, then I'll sort the cosmetics.
I'll get in touch for prices then- cheers
