We can do that for free at Mac's workshop day, or, actually, you can do it yourself with a bit of guidance.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Yes that and have the tick-over set at 1100 to 1200rpm will help,

If it was mine I would take it to macs workshop day. There's a wealth of knowledgeable people that attend this and they are more than willing to help and advise, and they know the vtr inside out. It's a no brainer really.Balancing the carbs will also help.
SO WHEN DOES THIS OLD ENOUGH TO KNOW BETTER KICK IN

Hi Dee,

I'm another newbie from Oxford :D
My welcome post is here, viewtopic.php?t=45274

My bikes no where near yours yet, but hopefully I'll get it roadworthy and a bit prettier soon.

Are you commuting on yours?

Yes I use mine to commute about 16 miles a day not ideal with the fuel mpg but it’s worth it I had an nt650 before and it was boring

Yeah, I'm finding my hornet 600 quite boring, so looking forward to trying the VTR once on the road
