Exhaust Recommendation for Firestorm

Post by ItsaKeeper »

Hi - I'm looking to change the standard exhaust on my firestorm for something that enhances the sound whilst remaining within legal DB. Any recommendations based upon what is currently available in the UK? Any manufacturer to avoid?

Thanks

Anything thats marked as legal... If it's marked 'Not For Road use.' It's not legal.

Lextek get good reveiws on the FB page. IIRC they do a discount for page members as well...Thats the FB page not here.

https://www.lextekproducts.com/exhausts ... STORM/1999

Other than new theres always cans on evilbay...Too loud ? stick some baffels in them.

I've got a set of Microns on one of mine ATM, they have a dodgy plate rivited over the not for road use stamps...Deff not standard...Didn't even get an advisory for loud cans on the last MOT.

Thanks Macv2, was looking at ebay earlier and there are plenty of options, just wondered if they were any good e.g. delkevic, blue flame, black widow, GR moto etc

Didn't see any Akrapovic or any dream brands :biggrin

I like microns, got bean can ones on my old RD350LC that sound fab to me.

Love my Blue Flames  They are loud but a lovely tone, I have not run them with all the baffles out yet.

The furthest purchase I have made was for the bike was somewhere in Europe, I'm not brave enough to try Japan but your link was really tempting :D

I had some Ti Quills on my track bike. They were nice but at 110dbs with the baffle in, they were nothing but a problem. I destroyed the right one on the first corner anyway, so that'll teach them.
No bike (yet).
