Two very different bikes .
One is a animal and the other will get you home .
If you have the chance ride the tl1000s do it and you’ll be glad to get back on the VTR

Haha thanks for that , I have no intention of selling my storm (given the amount I've spent on it lol) just curious so handling aside is the tls much faster ?

I was over 10 yrs ago when I last rode a TL1000s, but my memory of it was that the chassis was a much stiffer / sportier set up than the Storm and the engine was also stronger ........

BUT

I was able to ride my modified storm faster on real roads because I had the suspension changed to give me the compliance needed to cope with the bumps, and the linear HONDA power was easier to use more of the time.

It has been a while but....the rotary damper was shite. The fuel injection was a bit "snatchy" and nothing really going on until you hit 4K
So on paper the TL was faster but in the real world you would be happier with a VTR

I’ve got a TLR had it 18months but only managed around 400 miles on it I preferred my storm tbh, the TL is quicker in a straight line but I feel like I could ride my storm quicker although I’ve not ridden the TL enough to get to grips with it or set the suspension up.

Doesn’t look to bad next to another bike but on its own I get what you mean it’s such a big bike.
