hi guys sorry for such a late response.
at the moment it's difficult to set a date, as brexit is making things difficult.
atm i don't even know if i will have a bike in Spain at any point this year.
personally next year would be better for me.
i'm still more than happy to host a trip this year, it would just be very disappointing if i can't be on the rides with you.
maybe a may 2023 trip would suit everyone better.
feel free to personal message me any questions.
as for the N260. one of if not the best roads i've ever ridden. and i've only managed to ride about a 3rd of it.
HEY YOU GUYS!!!!!!

Marty, good to hear from you, I was wondering if we need to send out a search party

hope you are doing OK despite brexit messing with your bike plans, I assume its about importing or is it some other disruption that we never predicted?

I can understand that you would want a bike to be able to lead us round the good roads when we visit .............. but you have got me all interested in a Spanish bike trip this year, so I am not sure I can wait till next yr to try the N260.. 8O

if there are a couple of people who are still up for a week on the bikes exploring in Spain in september 2022, then post on here and we can see if we can build up a plan.

Hi, Marty, that's no problem at all. Al, I'll see how things are going in a couple of months.
Wife's still not working so family disposable income has taken a hit.

I also have no bike on the road at present- the tuono's electronics are proving a little temperamental.
Everything works except the throttle at the moment!
Nice tickover, though.

Ah well, every day's a school day, and I'm saving petrol.

No worries at all, I'm quite happy to delay till 2023, I'm taking early retirement at the of the year, so it would actually suite me better.
I've got plenty of spare holidays left this year, so I've already spoke AMCQ46 with view to doing a similar type of trip, we'll just have to see how it goes, it's all about squeezing it In, this year is a very busy year for me.

I have been messaging Marty, and although he wont have a bike out in Spain, he will be out there in Autumn and will be happy to host us at his family’s olive farm accommodation.

As per the 1st post, we should be looking at late Sept early Oct for this trip, so if we are doing a week long trip, it will be either.

1) Mon 25th Sept to Sunday 1st Oct
2) mon 2nd Oct to Sunday 8th Oct
3) Monday 9th Oct to Sunday 15th Oct

So is there anyone else who is interested in a tour down zigzagging through the Pyrenees, a few days at Marty’s place in Spain and then back home (ferry to and from Santander)

I'd be very interested in this trip, the earlier 25th Sep to 1st Oct could well be the best date for me. Lets see if anyone else shows some interest and take it from there.

I'd like to take part in this one. I've deferred my retirement date to 2024 so this will be compensation.

Nice one Kev & Tony. 3 of us is enough to make this a go :D

So Tony, can you work with the week that Kev has proposed? If yes, we can get some ferry’s booked and start to build a plan

Well, it clashes with BSB at Donington, but as it's you, go on then.

I have Mondays off, so if that works for you two I could return on Monday 2nd Oct, that might give us more options on the sailings, or cheaper prices.

Only (I can't be bothered to count yet) sleeps to go.

I've added you to the WhatsApp group, Phil.

The ferries look to be just over £600, if any one else fancies it.
We're looking at Portsmouth to Santander or Bilbao, but there are also ferries that sail from Plymouth.

Anyone else interested in this? At the moment Tony and I are confirmed (flatline a possible but he will do the train and join us near Pamplona) and we are going to catch the evening ferry to Santander on Friday 22nd sept and come back Sunday 1st Oct. It’s a day on the ferry then we will take a stop over ha;f way down to do a loop in the mountains then carry on to Martys place for a day or two before heading back up.

Dates are fixed now and it is going to take place as all I needed was at least one other to join………. So anybody else want to come along?

Dates are unfixed now, but revised to:
Outward on Friday 28th September in the evening from Portsmouth and
Returning from Santander on Sunday 8th October.

Awaiting confirmation, but that's the plan at the moment.
Four berth cabins booked both ways, but only two places booked on the ferry so far.
Any more for some autumn fun?
