Did you ever find a North London mechanic? I use Burwins on Upper Street in Islington?

The trouble is that there is one job that your everyday mechanic can easily get wrong with these bikes. With almost all other bike engines - honda and others- to change a cct you simply undo it and stick in a replacement, or a manual one. With these particular engines, that approach doesn't work.

So people that know firestorms well are the best people to use.
Same thing with cam timing, and setting up carbs.

But your jobbing mechanic (and even some honda main dealers) can get it wrong quite easily.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
