New VTR rider

Post by gtecomp »

Hello Gents,

Short story...my story

As far as I remeber I aways ride motorcycles until 2007..back then from pure mental reason I quit and sell all bikes. Around 2015 I start to gain bikes again, but i never rode them more then around my house...like I said...mental. This year I finally decide to obtain a real bike (not project) and I bought 2007 2sR 800 Ducati. I never have long expiriance with Italian bikes and after a month of riding I decide to check, how it was with japanese ... long time ago I had TL1000R, but I can't remeber nothing...how it was. So I try to find TL1000S, but this days, they are really rare, so normal choice was to try an VTR. I check one VTR (the owner trust me to take a spin) and what a difference from DUCATI...gears a smooth, neutral is easy to find, power delivery is smooth...my DUCATI fills like tractor. So I bought the bike....and here I am. I rearly have stock bike, so the VTR will receive some changes.

I will try to keep VTR in driving condition because here is list with unfinished bikes in my garage:

GSXR750 oil cooled turbo
RD350LC - cafe
RD250 - cafe
CB250K5 - original 1975
XL200 - retro flat tracker
DUCATI 600 - cafe Polizia stradale project
Cagiva 750 Lucky Explorer- cafe
Honda/KTM 360 - flat tacker

bikes in motion :)

VTR1000F 2002
S2R 800 DUcati
Gilera DNA 125/200

and more but they are not relevant.

An interesting collection.
Got any pictures?
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
