It sounds like you had a brilliant time regards of the weather not playing ball all the time.

The burning question is: did you get to see Mark (glsr) and his very special build :?: :?: :?:

Chris.
Sadly not depite msging him various times hes dropped off the radar... :(
That was a shame, may be next time :shh: :D
I hope Mark is okay,

Chris.

Looks like you boys had a good time despite the mixed weather, kudos to Al for grabbing the keys to the Storm and taking the long road to/from.

Nice mix of bikes, always interesting to see what other bikes Storm owners gravitate to. The Katana looks awesome Malc.

Planning on being there next year on my Storm. This year wasn't to be, for various reasons.

Thanks for the write ups! See you guys soon.

Total of 62.24 ltrs of the finest non Russian E10 was consumed... £120.14 Friday to Monday.

The actual miles on the rideouts Sat & Sun came to 189miles... Lateish starts, weather bit damp at times but not horrendous as anticipated by various weather apps...

I did 731miles Grain To Grain so 6.08p smiles to Mile.... Well worth it...

The MPG calculator I've used comes back at 53.39 mpg...Thats either totaly wrong or totally awesome...

Post scripit... 62.24 lts is 13.70 Gals...731mls / 13.70 gls = 53.36mpg . there will be a few bits of rounding up in there to get these figures...

That’s bloody good for a storm Macster did you leave with a full tank and add that to the calculations? If so it’s excellent mpg.

I just totalled up My trip mileage and it comes in at 622m over the 4days.

So I haven’t beaten mac, but I expect I used more E10 as I was a bit enthusiastic on the the cable puller.

Just like to say I’m so happy we got this Devon storm done, originally planned for 2020 but due to covid it git postponed. Also had a blow to my health that year than meant I had no idea if I could be there as the host. Well it all panned out great in the end, it wasn’t the easiest Devon storm I’ve had for sure but it was good for ny health, I found strength to do it I didn’t think I had, I have to put this down to the great friends and they’re support, the banter and the laughs 😀 I’m suffering a bit now but it was so worth it.
Thank you to everyone who came along 😊
Mac is taking over the reins for next year and I really hope I can be there to enjoy it again.
👍🌞🥳☀️🤞

It was a brilliant weekend and was fantastic to see you out on the bikes Malc, your determination to push on even though you was struggling at times shows your strength and determination. It was great seeing everyone enjoying themselves and having a few beers in the evenings. Can’t wait to go next year

Sounds like I missed a good one fellas.
Glad you all had a good time. I'll do my best to be there for the next one

How are you getting on with the Katana Malc? I see you managed to fit the shock any changes to the front?

I've not checked fuel receipts yet. Certainly a lot went in though! Considering the mileage on mine at 61,000 miles the bike was bloody superb. Didn't miss a beat or overheat. Used a little oil but given the temp on Friday I'm not really surprised or worried. Flat bars are definitely the way to go for me and had no issues from the waist up. The re padded seat was better but I've plans for a MK2 version. As for knees I can't really do anything except put up with it and so regularly for fuel. I had a great time and so did Ivor. Can't wait till next year.

Hi Pete
I like it, a step back in tech from the MT10 but different character, very much the same as a 2019 GSX-s as you know. The k tech shock is a bit on the harsh side which surprised me, all the measurements are correct like sag etc but in some respects it’s no better than the stock shock. All I’ve done to the front is back off compression damping a couple of clicks as front was harsh too, on the plus side the bike turns and holds a line much better than stock, helped also by junking the original Dunlops for Metz M7rr tyres.

Maybe the K tech just needs to loosen up and bed in a bit or less compression more rebound  . The original shock on my GSXs was horrendous. Fine for pottering along on smoth A roads but give it a bumpy back lane and it didn't know when to go up or when to come back down. The rear tyre was hardly on the ground when ever I wanted to press on a bit.
Bikes been good though, it's only ever had normal servicing and doesn't drop an ounce of oil in between them.
I switched over to Road 5s from the M7rr's they don't have the ultimate grip of the M7 but they work on a much broader range of temperature and are fantastic in the wet. They also (I believe) have a slightly softer sidewall than the M7. The feel from the front is less harsh over gnarly road surfaces and give bags of confidence.
So much better than the original Dunslops :D I don't know anyone who has ever replaced their tyres with the original fitting. You only had to change lane on the ring road and the traction control light would flash

So up early on Friday morning...The Fat GitFaced Womble (FGFW) expected me to hang on for 200 odd miles...Feck that I may have 8 legs & sticky web stuff but I opted to go in the tank bag...Snooze all the way....
DS 3 22.jpg
DS22 1.jpg
So off we set to the first pit stop Clackets lane to meet up with some odd blokes, Doc & Duffy...
DS22 2.jpg
Back on the road, next stop Reading services apprently FGFW & the other two needed to take a pish... I just did it in the tank bag...hehehehe
DS22 3.jpg
Got out & stretched me legs... FGFW needed a smerk so we sat in the sun for a bit...
DS22 4.jpg
It was then that my day turned bad as I was assaulted by the Doc, he claimed it was to help my prostrate but we Arachnids dont have one...#metoo He may be some film star from the past thats no excuse to do what he did that day...
DS22 6.jpg
Pish stop over & fuled up off we go Next stop Gordano...
