Storm overhaul

Finally i have got round to sorting the storm out.
New fairing and tank in black.
Black undertray.
New chain and sprockets 15/42.
New brake pads.
And a quick service.
Just got to fit all the new bits and put the oil in and i will be off.
Total cost £480.
Est time to do it all will be about 2 hours.
Just in time for the weekend!

Stage 1 complete. Fairing and tank fitted brake pads changed. Just over 1 hour. Had to swap all lights and petrol cap. opefully do chain and sprockets tomorrow.
I have a yellow(Y124) tank for sale in good condition. No dents at all only a couple of scrathes from the zip on me leathers. Offers?

Done the chain and sprockets today 15/42. sh1t! Bloody thing made me jump wound it on a tad hard front wheel instantly blocking the view of the road ahead. Going to have some fun tomorrow.

It seems to prefer to stay up if you hammer it. When I first changed the gearing I thought the clutch was slipping but its not. It just flies around to about 145 and at 10500 in top its doing about 160. Its plenty fast enough for me.

I was running 16/43 but i could tell the difference straight away. Can't wait to go for a proper play.

According to the kamware calculator @ 9500

15/44 148mph
15/42 155mph
16/43 161mph

15/42 should be a nice halfway house. I find that since dropping my gearing the fuel economy has improved a lot. I used to get 80-85 miles to the RLOD and now I get 120 which equates to about 106 real miles.

Only waiting for HM Plant Racing kit to put on my Harris lowers and fit it.
Hopefully it will all be finished by the weekend.
