It starts now!!!!

1st leg of what will now be a 10 day bike holiday

250 miles today to get up to my sister in laws (and getting a new rear tyre once I am up there)

Tomorrow, meeting Kev ads and Tony for a nice ride to the delayed ferry trip, then about 450 miles planned in NI till we get back on the ferry on Monday.

Then once back in Scotland, the plan is now to head north to the highlands and do the NC500 in 4 separate loops.

Looking at the routes planned, that section of the trip will be another 1700 miles till I am back at my sister in laws next Saturday evening. Then just another 250 miles home.

Bloody glad I will be using the big KTM for that kind of mileage, and given the fact I have only done about 1000 miles this year so far (on the KTM and storm combined ), this is turning a riding famine into a flood!

voices in my head are already saying that I will need to pace my self..... Never been good at that  I only have one speed

Leave me some beer in Ireland, we go on 29th. Have a good trip Ireland and NC500. Try Whaligoe steps near Wick for good meal and go down steps to hidden cove worth a visit.

Getting my new rear tyre fitted once I got up to Scotland.
My ex brother in law is mobile tyre fitter. Kind of keeping money in the family.

Petrol can is to give back up to the firestorms in the highlands, easier and less puke inducing than a mouthful of gas.

The ktm did 230 miles on the 1st tank today with a claimed 30 miles range left. Not bad, but the gauge claimed a range of 350 miles when I filled it up.

New tyre scrubbed in and ready for a wet day tomorrow.

Nice early start from Kev's to park up the van, roll the bikes out and get to the ferry.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
