DR Moto
Just got back from the open day at the National Motorcycle Museum
One of the exhibitors was DR Moto. The craftmanship is exquisite. Holding the frame parts in your hand and knowing they were machined from an 80kg billet of ally is mind blowing.
In fact, 500kgs of ally go in, a 15kg frame and swingarm come out.......
If you have the cash, this is a real competitor to Hondas road going RCV GP bike.
Have a look through the website and drool..........

Shwing!
Now That is bike porn
Haven't been on their website yet...better go get a box of tissues first
So is the museum worth a visit? It's quite central for a lot of us. \Would it be a good stop for a firestorm meet?

Re: DR Moto
Pete, well worth a trawl through the site, especially for anyone with an engineering interest
As for the museum, you would not believe how many British motorcycle manufacturers there were.
If I remember rightly, the SP boys did a meet up there a couple or three years ago.
Free today, but only £8.95 admission on a normal day if you want to look round and a full english in the cafe (no admission fee for that) to set you up right. Central location for many, plenty of parking, obviously biker friendly and many good roads to get there.
Definitely worth a shout.

Re: DR Moto
There's also the new David Silver museum thing over in Suffolk (not as central!!) I've fancied a run to the motorcycle museum for a while so I'd be up for it matron.

That was exactly my thoughts when I was there. Shocking really to see how little we produce now compared to then.turbo_billy wrote: As for the museum, you would not believe how many British motorcycle manufacturers there were.
That is amazing, I would have enjoyed holding the frame parts too somehow that just sounds so wrongturbo_billy wrote:Just got back from the open day at the National Motorcycle Museum

It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

Re: DR Moto
How much? They don't list a price on the site so I guess way over the average buyers price. Pure bike hardcore porn
