i'm sure they can sort out a ti fuel filler cap......
and the 24ltr harris tank is pretty, at first glance it looks like standard, it's only when it's next to a normal tank that you can really tell. i'm looking forward to seeing how they get on....

i think the main issue on here with you guys is the lust for weight loss items, all the machining, Ti bits, carbon cans etc. In reality it aint worth doing that if while you are fixing all these bits on and at home munchin bacon buttes you may have put on 2 stone.

Racers need to lose weight for speed issues etc, but normal riders with benefit from better riding to get quicker in all honesty.

a 24ltr tank would be about 4kg heavier wouldn't it? + id have soaked me leathers doing 150 miles.

Bigtwinthing,

" I'd have soaked me leathers doing 150 miles"

very much with you on this, unfortunnatly, but at least I have age, experience & and good looks on my side....... yeah right! Youth is wasted on the young and I've wasted a bit along the way!

Richard.

Sounds like a great idea. If it's a straight forward swop. Then I'll be interested but as everyone else has said, price will be the key here.

YETI wrote: Wed Mar 11, 2015 6:35 pm HI ALL .
I have a project in mind that's close to all our hearts
ie : tank range ! As some will know im in possession of
a HARRIS 24ltr fuel tank , my idea is to now get it copied
Fuel range is up to a staggering 150miles with one of
these beauties and to be honest I don't see why with
some delving on my part , why I cant find someone to
make some  .
affordability is I guess down to interest so please let
me know your thoughts .
Material : well ...... I have given this some thought
and I don't see why we cant have them in CARBON FIBRE !
I already know someone who can make the internal
fuel resistant tank and im confident that I can find
someone to make the outer carbon tank .
SO . dependant on price being affordable
WHO WANTS ONE ??

YETI..
ps carbon Kevlar is possible too

FAAAAARRRRRKKKKK YEEEEEAAAAHHHH !!!!!
