LED running lights - options
Finally fitted an LED I bought on flea bay...think I paid 11 quid for 2 so nothing to lose. Wired it to the sidelight wiring....easy mod and can always take it off if needed.....

Twist it 'til it breaks, then back off half a turn.... ![Eh :eh:](./images/smilies/icon_eh.gif)

I think the purpose of the lights is not to be seen. Blind those from seeing it's Teal
You don't mess about Pem. You have only just got the bike here and already your modifying. Looks very effective.

they could be a good aid to being seen

just a question of where to stick them ?

With a little work one will fit into the std side light holder.lumpyv wrote:bald_pig wrote:I'm thinking about fitting a pair of these:

I've done one on Nue Red & will be doing the one on Smoking Joe...when I get round to it...
Basically you have to cut the back of the sidelight bulb holder off, make the hole round to fit in the new LED then wire in to the loom.
I didn't want to cut the loom & you have to be able to disconnect it to get the fairing off remember. So I just used some flat spade clips which push into the block on the loom. Not perfect but it works, although I will look at a different way of wiring it up.
Originally I was looking at putting one in each of the air ducts, made some brackets up all ready, never did it as I was loath to drill the holes to fix them in place & the wiring in would have been a bit messy...
Making up since 2007, sometimes it's true...Honest...
Re: LED running lights - options
thank you mac . I bought a couple of the strip type sets about 2 years ago for something like £3 ?? and have never got round to fitting them some where ( like my grab rail and braided rear brake line
)
