My very first "Cage" was a -(drum roll)- TADA!! 1960 Renault CV4. The absolute ugliest (or very near the front of the pack) toad ever to see daylight on blacktop. It was cheap to purchase (just short of them paying me to take out of their way) and almost could be called reliable (as long as you topped off the oil as well as the petrol each stop),but being tall (6' 2'') even when a young man, it was entertaining as hell watching me, not get into, but rather put that little car on. As it was a rear engine rig, it was very light on the nose end. Even on nice clean dry pavement if you tried to do much hard? driving you were always up for the front end pushing and sliding and them grabbing which brought on hard counter steering to try catching up with the back end coming around so it could get a look at where you had been intending to go.
