Naranja storm

Post by lanny »

Just bought myself a 2000 Orange Firestorm. Had my eyes on a few over the last few months and nearly got tempted back to a matte black one which is currently on fleebay but dropped on an orange one by chance and at a grand less means I have more to spend on goodies.
Were Orange storms a limited run as they don't seem to come up very often ?
I pick it up Thursday so will post some pics up soon, in the mean time I can start writing up my priority list, I can sense this being expensive

I don't think the Orange ones were a limited run, although they are quite rare,

I might be wrong, but didn't they only offer orange paint for a couple of years, it wasn't that popular, hence there aren't many out there, when clean and shiny orange looks fantastic, if dull and unloved it can look pretty bad.

Actually it was only offered for one year, 1999.

I thought it was only 2000 they were offered, ah well. Doesn't really matter

Glad to hear you've got a 'storm again! :D

Almost went for the matte black again but saved over a grand by going orange, well not exactly saved as the mods I have planned will swallow that up easily. Hope the bikes stood up well and the ohlins is being worked ?

Well you know what they say, you get what you pay for

Was the matte black one you were looking at the one in Redditch by any chance? I've ended up browsing it a few times but it does seem ever so slighty (and then some) overpriced.

Bike is currently all well and good, haven't broken anything (yet) and the Ohlins is fine. Despite numerous attempts to pikey it off me

Look forward to seeing you again on some ride outs, hopefully! :D
