Well this is a life changibg decision, bigger than whether to get married or divorced!! 10times bigger than whether to put the dog out of its misery
Do I continue on with my sv in the hope that nothing serious breaks and continue to replace everything with components that Suzuki should have done or do I cut my loss and buy a ho da, probably a cbr600f or vfr!

The problem is I love my sv but it does need a load of attention which would be nice if I had money and time. I need a bike that can be cleaned and loved but won't break down or oxidize In to nothing!!

Get it sorted into a sellable condition, flog it and get a Honda less prone to decomposing in one season.
It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

more modern kwacka's have good build quality, I don't think i'd ever own a Suzuki if i'm honest. I had a vfr800, a little soulless compared to the storm, but an extremely capable bike, wouldn't know where to start working on a V4 tho... 
cbr600 is even more soulless but a nice handling bike.

Its not the motor on the SV its the frame that rots like all Suzuki's. BTW point 2 in the first post is about to happen & its painful

they have a very distinctive sound too thats sweet with a good can.
