Just a quick update...

Since the start of the year after my winter mod frenzy, the black beasty has covered 15k miles (all leisure miles), taken me on my first trackday, been to South of France & Switzerland, attended x7 VTR1000.org rideout events (not including numerous meet ups with fellow Stormers), eaten x6 new tyres, received x3 services, escorted a wedding car, broken down once, x4 oil and filter changes, x2 fluid changes, consumed around 500 gallons or 2,227 litres of unleaded petrol...

My mods/upgrades to date are:

Manual CCT'S

Mosfet RR

Braced swingarm

Rogered forks

Coerce fork brace

Penske rear shock

Powdercoated frame, subframe, swingarm, yokes, front subframe, Cam covers, bar ends, clipons, wheels.

New Head bearings, swingarm bearings, linkage bearings, wheel bearings.

Black bodywork

Eastern beaver headlight relay kit, PC8 fused wiring centre.

Symtec heated grip elements

Art carbon cans

Carbonadi engine covers

Harris rearsets (anodised black)

SP1 calipers & master cylinder

Motobatt battery

MRA light flip screen

Undertray/tail tidy

Carbon front mudguard

Carbon R1 hugger

Carbon fireblade 2-part chain guard

LED indicators

Motrax crash bungs

Custom can hangers

Tank "stomp" grips

PR4 tyres

White number boards

Powerbronze belly pan

Renthal chain/sprockets

Carb vacuum take-offs

Black braided lines all round

Super loud horn

Thumb screw style, fuel mixture screws

Optimate charger point

Galaxy S4 phone cradle and integrated charge cable

Probably some more stuff...

Californian superbike school, trips to the nurbergring, 4 day Spanish track day events, and if you are tiring of the storm, dare I say it, a change of bike.... :(

As much as I'd like more oompff from the Storm, I just can't get excited about the ammount of time and financial input required to extract maybe 8 - 10bhp, I think a deposit on the new R1 or RSV4 would be an exciting way to spend a wedge of cash :D

Doesn't stop me taking an interest in the various "stage 1" builds going on though and I admire the enthusiasm for an ever improving dyno sheet

The black bike is going nowhere without me sat onboard :)

I'm tempted by one of the new sports bikes, which would make more sense on trackdays and spirited rides, but the Storm is a keeper now, I've never owned such a individual or made to measure bike. Which also happens to be arguably the BEST ROAD BIKE EVER!

Black Storm is done, except from small refinements and maintenance...

The project is over!

Now, where's the key for Smokin' Joe...

You have worked your butt off Jamie and the bike looks great.

Iam am a bit late but still want to make the butt end a single seat with nothing behind it. Moving house and work commitments have slowed me down a bit. I like it being different and will get it done this year. As you have said once you sort the suspension there great bikes. mine has all the good mode done so seats just a thing i want to do to make it different. Looking forward to many runs out and meat ups in 2015
